I have been teaching for 28 years in a combinations of public and independent schools K-12 visual art programs.  I am fortunate to be able to keep in touch with my past art students and witness them entering the art world as artists, art professionals, and art educators.  Communication within my small network of friends has become very valuable and I would like to extend this information to a greater population to discuss current work, successes in the studio, and experiences in art classrooms.

I am a ChoiceArt Visual Arts Specialist and the NAEA Co-President for the Choice Art Interest Group.  I teach Upper School Art Courses: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Convergent Technology, and AP Studio Art. I teach a full choice based blended art studio program. I offer three levels in each course, beginner, intermediate, and advanced.  My students chose ideas to create in the studio based on Themes, Artistic Targets, and media.  I scaffold and guide the learning to challenge and propel the individual learner.  I am the  advisor to a very active Art Club and the Curbside Couture Fashion Show with the Clinton Presidential Library.

What state do you live in? This is my first year as an art teacher. When I look at the artwork your students are producing, I feel like a tiny gnat staring up at the night sky. I need to read everything you have written.
