Empty Bowls

We are creating fun and functional bowls for the Arkansas Food Bank Empty Bowls Event.

A girl scout troop stopped into the studio to learn how to create a bowl using a drape mold and adding a foot and cute embellishments.  The upper school students helped to guide the girl scouts to create original ideas.  We finished the bowls with underglaze with bright colors and patterns.  Our sculpture students will be creating a two bowls, one for the Empty Bowls project and one for themselves.  Enjoy the little bowls below created by the little ones.

Garden Murals we are painting for the Little Rock Garden Club for the big Flower Convention being held in Little Rock in April.  The murals will be used for the table decorations and then be auctioned off for the Thea Foundation’s Art Closet.  This will help supply funds for Arkansas public school art programs. Thea’s Art Closet
